Always amazing. Honestly- I have never, nor have my family or guests- EVER had a bad experience or food here; it's never mediocre. The pride in their food/product/presentation is always a cut above others... I have my favorites, of course- but there's truly a dish to please everyone at Saks- & a beverage, appetizer, & dessert... DINE IN THE FIRST TIME so the friendly & knowledgeable staff can guide your palate & answer all your questions, so if you order their amazing takeout you know just want you want/are getting... & order a Thai Tea/Coffee for your ride home!
Very slow service. We were there for hours. Great food though!
It is delicious!!! I totally recommended it! The curry puffs are amazing and the Coconut Ginger fried rice is to die for!
I enjoyed everything about my experience here; from the atmosphere to the amazing meal. It was the best restaurant I've been to in years and I have already recommended it to family. The food is reasonably priced for the generous portion you receive. I'm thrilled about left overs for a change! Do yourself a favor and try Sak's Pineapple Fried Rice. I'll be making the trip from Greece again very soon!!
Hands down the best Thai in Rochester.
Waited over an hour for my food and the server is rude. Terrible experience.
Outstanding Thai food! Their dishes are ALWAYS well prepared. Sometimes they are short staffed and you have to wait, but I would say it's well worth it. Their Curry Puffs are outstanding! Their Pho soup is perfectly complex and is a definite winner! There is ample parking and the dining area is very nice. Great for a date or with kids.
The ambience is awesome and they have a tasty variety of items on the menu. Must go!
After a long time had delicious Thai food. Both dishes we tried very excellent in taste.Decent ambience, quick service on weekend night.
Nice place for Thai lunch, give it a try. Located in a small plaza so the parking is ample. This was a good sized restaurant, modern and clean. I stepped in just before noon and they already had a small lunch crowd which seemed to grow, to perhaps two dozen people. A good sign in my mind.My food was good, and came out lightning fast! Two people were sharing the jobs of hostess and server and cashier so I can imagine they could get overwhelmed with a huge crowd. But their speed and attentiveness was excellent at this visit, my first one.The lunch menu had a good selection of choices, and it was a substantial amount of food as well. I had to take some home. I got the salad with my meal instead of the wonton soup, salad had the ginger dressing But was unusual in that they included cucumber and tomato. Very good in my opinion and good-sized too! Nice joint, I shall return...
Always love the food there. Service was very slow though.
spent 2 hours just for two plates. server didn’t show up for one hour after taken the order. And food is just normal
The atmosphere is very relaxing. Service is good. Food is reasonably priced. I opted to add a fresh shrimp roll with peanut sauce on the side for $2.50 more. Portion size is generous. I would go back except that it is quite a drive from where we live.
We waited over an hour for our food when we visited Saks in person. The wait staff was inattentive. The food was good though.; I thought that we Thai resaturants in Rochester and they all undoubtedly have better customer service.
Good environment and food tastes good as well. Liked the curry plate. Would come back again.
The food is good. Green curry with duck, coconut soup with tofu, and the papaya salad were among my favorites. The service can be slow (one of the two times we visited; so perhaps it was a fluke).
My third time there. Very clean and upscale. Food was appropriate for price and tastes good. Well staffed and thoughtful to my needs.
Slow service but food made up for it! So good!
Always the best food and service. One of our favorites
Not sure what everyone is raving about. We got take out and it was not great. The fresh spring rolls were good but the sauce was really thick and too sweet. The Pad Thai was also really sweet and not a lot of tofu. My daughter and husband each got Thai fried rice. They both said it tasted like fish and neither of them got fish with it. We will not be ordering from them again.
Best Thai in Rochester. Worth the drive. Service may be slow but it's worth the wait. Unique dishes artfully prepared. They don't like to answer the phone for take out when it's busy so be prepared to wait.
First time there. Everything was excellent. Staff was very polite and respectful explaining what the dishes were and the drinks right down to the ingredients. They were very friendly. The food delicious!!
This place is a gem. Always great. Worth the drive.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. This venue offers a tranquil environment with a definitively Thai ambience as well as some of the best Thai food we'd ever tasted. The service was prompt, polite, and helpful. If you visit, try their spring rolls - they're amazing. Everything we ordered was authentic Thai food, nothing McThai about it. And we loved that.
Dank Thai cuisine. Possibly the best in all of GRA
The most authentic Thai that I have had in Rochester since moving from NYC. I have been there several times and have taken a few of my asian friends who have approved. The service is great and they always make me feel right at home. If you choose to have a meal there make sure to get a glass of their Thai Chai Tea. Saks is excellent in my book.
Absolutely amazing aurhentic and fresh Thai cuisine with beautiful ambiance and decor along with caringly attentive service, definitely recommend.
I’ve tried several of their dishes, and they have all been quite good! I really like to go here, especially for lunch. Generally friendly staff and good prices and lunch specials as well. I would give 5 stars, but sometimes their service is slow and it’s true that they rarely answer their phone, so getting takeout is pretty much impossible unless you go and wait around for it.
We have been their twice.First time 40 minute wait!Decided to give them a second try. This time 1 and 1/2 wait!!!!!Lied to both times!!!When they tell you your food is coming right out that means they have no idea and don't care!Second time we walked out after being told food was coming right out twice in 25 minutes!Met couple in parking lot that said they should have walked out and they were giving it a second try!!Food is good but come on 90 minutes with the repeated "your food is coming right out!!!!
Best Thai food in Rochester. Clean, modern and beautiful decor and interior. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food is consistent, fresh and sublime every time. Have been going here for such a long time. Can't recommend enough!
Delicious food. 2 stars due to neglecting order instructions. Our order was strictly for vegetarian food - no beef, meat, fish, egg etc. however we found meat pieces in the serving. The dish was replaced. But sentiment was hurt.
Very tasty, great menu options, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere.
Favorite Asian restaurant in the Rochester area. So good!
Excellent traditional Thai cuisine. This was a favorite restaurant when we lived nearby. Travelling back from South Carolina to visit friends, it was a must do. We were not disappointed. Large selection of dishes, quiet relaxing atmosphere with good service.
Fresh, delicious, well prepared Thai fare. Great food, restaurant is always very clean and tidy, and the quality is always consistent. The Pad Thai is amazing, I highly recommend trying it. Have yet to have a bad experience or underwhelming dish. Keep up the good work!
Great staff great food
Tasty and affordable. Very clean too.
I've been to countless other Thai restaurants across the northeast coast, from Boston to Pittsburgh to Philly. No place has even come close to matching Saks. Definitely within Rochester, this place stand head and shoulders above everything else Thai. My family and I come here regularly, we bring all our relatives here, and my colleagues and I regularly lunch here. I know the waiting staff by name and vice versa. The crowd, the atmosphere, and the staff are terrific. The chef's will even go insofar as preparing your dish in specific ways suited to your tastes. As far as service, food, and atmosphere is concerned, this place deserves Michelin stars. Good thing they haven't gotten any: if everyone knew about this gem of a restaurant, I wouldn't get to enjoy their food as regularly...Oh, I have also literally tried every item on the menu across 10 years. You really really can't go wrong with anything. I mean it.
This place has the best Tom Yum soup. Their staff is friendly & professional. Great atmosphere and service. Food is amazing and always fresh & made to order. Big portions which is nice because you don't always find that these days. Parking is convenient and free.
Had Lunch menu... service was fast and food was great
The food was amazing, very calm atmosphere, great staff!
They have great food, BUT they seem to never answer their phone!! Based on several times I’ve tried to phone order a pickup. So I DROVE there to order and order not ready for an hour! And several tables open. What a poor way to run a business. And no apology from them.
VERY SLOW service! Place your order at least 5 hours in advance that is if the untrained hostess will get the order right and doesn’t forget to hang up the phone while forgetting to tell you the total and confirming the order. They claim to be busy but looked dead inside, owner very cheap to hire the needed personnel to run this place. Owner should go to Han noodle Bar on Monroe and see how to turn over food fast and what costumer service is all about.
The service was beyond amazing and accommodating. The food amazing. So amazing I took a photo after I started eating. The flavors so crisp and good. Highly recommend.
Very good Thai food. Staff was great. Only issue I had was wanted to get out faster. Took too long for weekday lunch. Needed to get back to work.
My favorite restaurant because the Pnang chicken is amazing. It's so good I would choose it as my last meal on this planet.
The food is delicious. Touky was our server and she was amazing. Try the red curry and the pad see eiw
Can't wait to try the whole menu
Had lunch here and ordered mixed vegetables. They were nicely cooked, not hard or mushy. Very well run and efficient business.
